Studio Bio

Edinburgh Science Festival had an exhibit at The National Museum of Scotland called ‘Studio Bio’. The theme of the festival was ‘Shaping the future’ and explores how sustainable biomaterials can be used in art and design. I designed and made a costume for dance that incorporates sustainable materials and has links to science and climate change. The costume was  showcased at a ‘Museum Lates’, ‘Studio Bio’, after hours event.
I used biomaterials and indigo dyes in my design and final costume. The costume is inspired by the indigo milk cap mushroom.
