Frankenstein
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley designed for a stage production set in the 1870s. Frankenstein shows themes of creation, isolation, and nature verses nurture. These themes are shown through the colour of the costumes and the design of the monster.
The colour scheme for this production will be warm tones. Mainly orange, brown, and yellow. Victor Frankenstein’s family and friends are wearing brighter colours whereas he will be dressed in white and brown. The costumes are historically accurate and will use 1870s pattern for all the garments.
