Frankenstein

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley will be adapted for a stage production. This production will be set in the 1870s. Frankenstein shows themes of creation, isolation, and nature verses nurture. These themes will be shown through the colour of the costumes and the design of the monster.

The colour scheme for this production will be warm tones. Mainly orange, brown, and yellow. Victor Frankenstein’s family and friends will be wearing the brighter colours whereas he will be dressed in white and brown. When the monster kills Victor’s family and friends, he is taking the warmth and colour out of Victor’s life. The costumes will be historically accurate and will use 1870s pattern for all the garments.
